" ![]() Just around the corner from Craftsman Corner, The Royal Monarch has opened its doors. Studio 325 on 150 Pleasant Street in Easthampton is a place for artists and musicians to be creative together. Arvella, local artist and founder of Royal Monarch says, “The supportive nature of a collaborative enriches the entire community. Rather than competing for space and an audience, The Royal Monarch provides space where like-minded talent comes together to create something greater than any one individual could accomplish solo." The Royal Monarch is a distinctive creative space. They host events, concert series, performance and visual exhibits for local and touring talent as well as provide lessons in a wide array of subject matter for all ages. In fact, guitar hero and folk icon Jim Kweskin is performing there live this Sunday, April 23rd. You won't want to miss this big music moment in the cozy, regal space. So check out this new up and coming artists’ joint and join for An Evening with Jim Kweskin. Yeehaw! Our next Art Walk event is just around The Corner!
“Craftsman”- a person who practices or is highly skilled in a craft; artisan. an artist. Craftsman Corner is committed to the arts and to our local community. Each month for the Easthampton Art Walk we host an event featuring a local artist and live local musician. For the month of April join us in some Texas style fun while viewing the art of Clay Crow, and music by Arvella. Clay is a unique and beloved Texan who has been part of our Easthampton community for over 18 years. Anyone who has passed by the totem pole house in Easthampton has seen his art! In addition to totem carving, Clay is also a skilled oil painter and talented graphic designer. His art will be hanging around the Craftsman Corner headquarters on the corner of Terrace View and Lovefield St. this Saturday, April 9th! Arvella is salty yet slightly sweet. The group creates original music influenced by the Americana/Roots tradition with the addition of crooning slide guitar, triply flute improvisation and dark thrashing drum beats. Vanessa Chatwood Kerby on vocals, tenor banjo and flute, Robert Arthur Hill on vocals, guitar and bass and Paul W Preston on drums make for a beautiful and dynamic sound. Craftsman Corner Art Walk events are always friendly and welcoming! We serve Clay Crow’s award-winning chili, and have a light spread of drinks and treats. Come by The Corner any time from 5 to 8PM for great family fun & a celebration of the arts! ![]() Wow! The Home Show was a hit!
